HOUSTON (June 13, 2022) – Gulf Coast Community Services Association, Inc. (GCCSA, Inc) was honored by the Missouri City (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated with a gift of socks, shoes, and books for our youngest constituents. Students attending GCCSA, Inc’s Head Start & Early Head Start Program located on the premises of Bastian Elementary School (a Houston Independent School District campus) were the recipients of a collection of brand-new athletic footwear, dress shoes, socks, and reading books. Members of the Missouri City (TX) Chapter of The Links are known for their commendable acts of service in the Fort Bend County and Greater Houston areas. Previously, the service organization donated needed and oft-overlooked items (i.e., umbrellas, socks, personal garments, household cleaning supplies, etc.) to some of our most vulnerable residents who were impacted by the many devastating floods and natural disasters that visited the Houston area. GCCSA, Inc creates pathways of opportunity for Houston’s vulnerable populations, with programs that include: Head Start and Early Head Start; scholarships for career, technical and vocational training with partner programs; continuing adult education courses; financial coaching; workforce development; and a robust food pantry.
